Description

Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque — the former Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Famagusta — is one of the most important historical landmarks in Cyprus. I studied it both as part of my cultural heritage and as a valuable architectural example, working between hand drawing and digital media.

The project moves from pencil studies of the façade's Gothic ornament and tracery to a fully rendered digital painting that sets the medieval volume against a contemporary sky, holding the two times in the same frame.
